Taco in a Bag
I love these walking taco bags, and my family loves them too! I had this recipe at the Covered Bridge Festival in Indiana. The chip bag serves as a shell for the tacos.

Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 20 mins
Total Time: 30 mins
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- *1 pound lean ground beef
- *3/4 cup water
- *1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
- *4 (2.5 ounce) packages corn chips
- *2 cups shredded lettuce
- *1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- *1 chopped fresh tomato
- *½ cup sour cream
- *⅓ cup salsa
Directions
Step 1
Assemble every necessary component.
Step 2
Sauté the ground beef in a large frying pan over medium heat until it is fully browned and broken into small bits, which should take roughly 7 to 10 minutes. Drain the excess fat. Incorporate the water and taco seasoning. Let the mixture come to a boil, then dial back the heat to a simmer for 5 minutes, giving it an occasional stir.
Step 3
Lightly smash the corn chips while they remain in their sealed packages. Trim a bit off the top and bottom corners of each sack, then slit the bag open along one of the side seams.
Step 4
Distribute even portions of the cooked beef, lettuce, shredded Cheddar, diced tomatoes, sour cream, and salsa into each bag on top of the crushed chips.
Step 5
Serve the meal directly in the bag and consume it using a fork. Enjoy your food!
