Cut the tops off the jalapeños and scoop out the seeds from one of them. Put both peppers, the tomatoes including their juices, onion, garlic, cumin, oregano, and salt into a food processor or blender and process until it reaches the texture you prefer.
I have to give this a rating between four and five stars! I personally added a lot more assorted hot peppers and likely increased the spice amounts, but wow, it tastes great. Thanks so much for sharing; I truly appreciate it.
Your dad’s recipe is fantastic! To those complaining about the lack of heat, my advice is to either create your own recipe or just add more peppers. Don't label it bad just because you lack cooking skills.
